The 2010 Haiti earthquake

The 2010 Haiti earthquake had claimed an estimated 230,000 lives, leaving many more injured and at least a million homeless. Nearly 220,000 of the survivors are living in temporary camps in the capital city of Port-au-Prince, a place prone to frequent floods and landslides.
However, the worst is not over for the Haiti earthquake survivors. The priority now is to prepare these homeless survivors for April's heavy rains and June’s hurricane season. A hefty sum of US$ 11.5 billion is needed to finance the first three years of their rebuilding efforts.

At Home-Fix, every staff played a small part by donating a sum of $2265 to the Red Cross Society of Singapore. The management of Home-Fix also donated an extra dollar for every dollar contributed by the staff. A total sum of $4,530 dollars was raised to contribute to the rescue efforts.
