NorthLight Pushcart 2009
Christmas is all about caring, sharing and giving. In view of this, students at Northlight have set up pushcarts at our Marina Square outlet to raise funds & awareness for the school. Small presents such as flowers, clips, cards and gifts are packed personally by the students and their mentors. Some items are made by the students themselves. For the month from Nov to Dec 2009, a sum of estimated around two thousand were raised. All thanks to the group of students from Northlight for participating in this activity.
They are thankful to have the opportunity to raise funds on behalf of their school as well as the chance for interaction with shoppers at Marina Square. All proceeds will be channelled to the needy students in NorthLight School. This project provided extra opportunities for our students to gain additional exposure to retail work experience, particularly in handling "real" customers. The donated amount is a big help to the students facing financial difficulties. |
