“You don't have to be great at drawing. All you need to do is to express your thoughts on Serangoon garden neighbourhood.”

	“myMosaic”, the community art event took place on 26 Sep 09 at Maju Avenue. This event aims to bring participants together in a massive painting session. 101 canvases are produced and only 50 art pieces are selected to be displayed on the interior walls after the mall at Serangoon Garden is completed. The art pieces are drawn to express thoughts according to the themes, “my love”, “my passion”, “my favourite place” and “my favourite food”. Participants will receive a 40 × 40 cm canvas, paint colours, painting tools and necessities sponsored by Home-Fix. Home-Fix also donated cash of $1500 for this event.
The proceeds generated from the event will be donated to Singapore Anglican Community Services (SACS) Family Care Centre. SACS runs St. George's Place, two mental health rehabilitation centres in Simei Care Centre and Hougang Care Centre & a crisis shelter. The centres provides refuge and counseling for families in crises, battered wives, single parents and their children. For the psychiatrically ill and emotionally disturbed,the mental health centres help clients to regain their confidence through the provision of counseling, spiritual devotion, work therapy and vocational training.
