In April 2008, Northlight and Home-Fix collaborated to provide practical hands-on retail experiences for Northlight students.
The rationale behind this collaboration was to provide an enriching learning experience for these special groups of students in a real life but supportive environment.
Our flagship store in Marina Square was chosen to provide real hands- on retail training for the retail operations students on a weekly basis.
Northlight students were trained to learn on the different aspects of running a retail store by Home-Fix staff as their guiding mentors.
This attachment proved to be an engaging way for the students who learn better in a non-traditional classroom setting.

** Northlight School is an institution in Singapore established by the Ministry of Education (MOE) for students with difficulties handling the academic-oriented mainstream curriculum in the country. Admission to the school is based on at least two failed attempts at the Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE).
